I would advise anyone to NOT use the 1800 Flowers.com service!! I placed an order on Sunday evening to be delivered on Monday to the Funeral home, where my friend was having his homegoing service. The delivery time was set for 10am, the order was placed on Sunday. 1800 flowers had all of the necessary information for the delivery to be made. Well...they did not deliver the item to the funeral home PERIOD! I received a call that they were trying to make the delivery, but the rest of what was being said could not be understood. The calls are routed to another country and there is a terrible language barrier between the order taker and the person ordering!! This was the only opportunity that I had to pay my respects to a friend who passed away and 1800 flowers BLEW IT TO ALL TO HELL! I will continue to post this about the horrible service.
BTW...whatever country you are routing your calls to are eventually going to cause someone somewhere to come up with a better way of doing this type of business!! It will happen. You should be called 1800 CAN'T DELIVER.
Then I called back to get a refund and still could not understand what the rep was saying, because the call was routed to some other country. I asked for a refund and was promised an email confirmation of a refund. Well, I never received a confirmation of a refund, and I called again this morning and still no refund confirmation. I have been given nothing but excuses. No refund confirmation email, no refund of my money, only an individual from some other country speaking HORRIBLE ENGLISH!

Legalism is Not True Faith

Legalism is Not True Faith

"There shall be one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the Lord your God." - Leviticus 24:22

Legalism is described as obeying laws in a very strict and exact way. People from all faiths, including Christianity, have been led astray by being legalistic in their interpretation of religious rules and regulations.

But, folks,  legalism is not true faith. It’s often confused with dedicated faith, but real faith is not about obeying well-intentioned, man-made rules. In other words... "don't put on makeup, don't wear pants, don't put on jewelry, or earrings, cut your hair above the ears (men), don't cut your hair, (ladies), don't play sports, or jump rope,  or if you don't come to prayer meeting we will sit you down and not allow you to work in the church, and so on and so on.  I can't begin to tell you some of the things I have heard over the years and tried to live under.  That only leads to frustration, resentment, and unnecessary guilt. In today’s world, there are not only religious legalists but secular legalists. The “tolerance police” and “politically correct Gestapo” are intensely passionate about enforcing their well-intentioned, man-made rules. Resentment and frustration result.  Most legalist are uptight.(wound up - brought to a state of great tension wound up - brought to a state of great tension; "all wound up for a fight"
tense - in or of a state of physical or nervous tension). When you can't live to the exact letter of all of the man made rules, you will start to feel condemned!  And that's not what God wants you to feel like.
DOESN'T THE BIBLE HAVE ENOUGH THINGS IN IT FOR ALL OF US TO FOLLOW?
Relax!!  Righteousness is a GIFT.  Rom. 5:17,
But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus ...
You are not going to be more righteous if you don't wear makeup, or if you do wear makeup, or if you wear pants or if you don't wear pants, or jewelry, or don't wear jewelry.  It's not about that at all.
Righteousness is a Gift from God.
If you suffer from well-intentioned legalism, I have great news for you. Jesus battled legalism throughout His ministry. He understands your pain. He wants to save you from it, just as He wants to save you from sin.

STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON WIRELESS

Vic Morton
For all of you who have Verizon Service... Beware! This company has marred my credit by continuing to charge me for a service that I repeatedly called to cancell. After several attempts to get them to cancell my service, they ended up closing my account (which I requested that they close), and sent me a final bill for $1400. I have repeated called and complained and even contacted the better bu...

If you hold anything against anyone, FORGIVE Them!

Greetings to all my brothers and sisters who have blogged recently and in the past. Some of you will remember me and some won't, and some may not even know who I am. That is ok.
On Saturday night/Sunday Morning I was surfing the internet and wondered how NTCC and Pastor RW Davis is doing. Much to my surprise I found a great number of negative blogs after I googled pastor Davis' name. My heart was stirred and my heart went out to those who felt betrayed, and felt that they were manipulated and controlled by NTCC and the leadership. (by the way... Hello Bro Johanson, Sarah and Elizabeth, Bro Rienhart, and to everyone).

I was very disturbed at what I read. Some of the things I knew but some things were a surprise.
Nonetheless my prayer was, "God give me a word to tell them that will bring healing."
God answered quickly. FORGIVE!
I know that it hurts, and you want to fight back. Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell whatever you, ask in prayer, believe that you have recieved it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, FORGIVE them, so that you Father in heaven may forgive your sins."

I want us to think of God's forgiveness as a flowing fountain that never shuts off. Forgiveness is not a conditional term based upon how we feel. It is what God expects even when the offender doesn't offer an apology. Notice in the above scripture reference that Jesus connects two things prayer and forgiveness. He says that whatever you ask in prayer believe, then He let's us know that if we want anything from God when we are praying we must also forgive anyone that has wronged us. It is definitely hard to have faith when praying for something and there is unforgiveness.

Those of you who have left and those of you who want to leave NTCC you must study the word and get a complete understanding of what Holiness really is... Holiness deals with Wholeness, mind body and soul. God is not going to clean up the outside by changing the attire without doing a complete work on the inside. That my friend is true Holiness. Also it takes a lifetime to develope into a saint, and when God saves you He knows what things He still has to change inside of you. The character of Christ is developed over time in us. Holiness comes as we allow God to make us completely whole.

( I intend to continue to post blogs to bring healing.)( Also I am not writing to fight with NTCC or anyone else. Hopefully I can help bring healing to some.)
The first step in healing and forgiveness is to;
I. Cancel the DEBT! Matt. 18:21-33. Don't look for an apology or much less for something to change the offender that may have offended you. Cancel the offense. You may not feel like it, and it may still hurt but let it Go. You may have to say to yourself or to the person, "I forgive you, and you don't owe me an apology."

II. Restore the relationship... I already know that some of you have thought in your mind that I am crazy to think you would try to restore ties with people that have severely offended you. Well, brother/sister I am not saying that. But, live at peace with people as much as is within you. Matt. 5:23-24, 2Cor. 5:18, Rom. 12:18. For instance if someone has gotten a divorce, you certainly are not going to get back with them in some cases, but you can be nice.
You don't have to go back to NTCC but be nice to anyone that may have offended you. You don't have to send tithe and offering to them but, don't allow bitterness to take root in your heart. For some it already has. We all have been hurt in someway or another, but what I have learned is that you must LET IT GO AND MOVE ON WITH LIFE EVEN IF YOU DON'T GET AN APOLOGY! You gifts and talents and still needed in the kingdom of God. Please use them.

III. Bless the offender. Many years ago I was in a relationship with someone and was done terribly wrong. Yes I was hurt but, I got over it and the day came when I blessed that person. No one asked me to do it but I felt led of God to do so. I turned out that they needed the blessing that I gave to them. (God of course blessed me with a wonderful wife.)
God would have you to bless NTCC with words of kindness that will cause them to think about the way they have handled people.
Brothers and Sisters I am not telling you to do something that I have not had to do in my own life. I left NTCC in 1986 of my own free will and have continued in ministry till this day. I am a pastor and definitely called of God.
Don't feel that when you leave NTCC that life is over or that you are going to hell. God does not save people to take them to a devils hell, but saves them for His Glory. The work that God has begun in you, He will finish it.
Let me also say the SEASONS ARE CREATED BY DESCISIONS. Don't allow unforgiveness to create a season that you will remain in for sometime. You are out of NTCC, you must let them be, and you move on to what God has prepared for you. You have gifts and talents that are in you that you have not used because of hurt. Remember this one thing. There are people out here who love you and need you. Oh yea, those of you who hide your name because you don't want the leadership of NTCC to know that you feel the way that you do. That is very silly. Let us know who you are. They certainly can't hurt you now. Love you guys

Pastor Vic Morton.
